Surgery

About a month ago, Cory went out for a bike ride on his, pedal bike. He was doing some training for an upcoming sprint triathon. He decided that before he got to into the ride that he would swing by the park and watch some football practices. He got a little distracted watching practice and started heading for a chain link fence while still on the bike. Cory could not get his feet out of the pedal clips fast enough, so he put his right hand out towards a chain link fence to prevent from falling. Well, the bike kept going forward and his arm went backwards, thus tearing his rotator cuff and pectoral muscle. This, of course, required surgery, so about a week and a half ago, Cory spent the day at TOSH getting fixed up. He came out of surgery a little better than with his knee. This time I was not embarassed to claim him as my husband:) He has 5 weeks left in a sling, doing very little in the way of rehab due to the pectoral tear. That repair has to heal almost completely before he can do any form of physical therapy.

(Cory's rotator cuff was scoped, but the pectoral repair was a open procedure!)

(Cory loves his sling!!)
