Chillin' with Chad!

 Yesterday, Chad Lewis, Tim, and two of Tim's friends hung out at BYU!  Long story, but Chad wanted to hang out with Tim and catch up.  Last time we saw Chad was May of 2001, right after Tim's surgery.  Ever since Thursday's Hero of February 2011, Chad has taken a liking to Tim and has kept in touch throughout the past year and a half!  For those of you who don't know who Chad is-all you Ute fans out there-Chad was a superstar football player who walked on to the BYU football team, earning a full-ride scholarship.  He then went on to play 9 years in the NFL as a free agent, mainly for the Eagles.  Now he is back at BYU as the assistant athletic director!  Awesome guy!  We mainly hung out on the outdoor practice field, talking to current players and throwing the football around.  Chad gaveTim some football pointers as well.  Great afternoon!!

Tim needs to grow some and put on some weight to fit into this season's uniforms!

Pumpkin Patch

I failed to post our annual trip to a local pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago.  The day was perfect for picking out the "perfect" pumpkin and running through corn mazes!

Fun Saturday afternoon carving pumpkins!!  The girls were super excited to carve their pumpkins.  Tim - not so much!  He really wanted to hang out with friends.  But once he started carving, he had a good time!!

Halloween Party!

Mak was invited to a Halloween Party by one of her classmates!  There will be a "costume contest, ghoulish games, freaky fun and scary snacks."  Sounds like fun!  Mak and her friend Alyssa went together.  Check the two out having some fun before the party:)  Too cute!

Baptism!

This past Saturday, Katie and Kelli were baptized!  It was a beautiful day with family and friends!  And the girls were so excited to wear their new white dresses:)  However, we broke away from the traditional "all-white" dresses and added some color!  It was perfect!!

After we finished at the church, there was a luncheon at the house for family.

Ouch!

Yesterday, I went over to a friend's house to visit for awhile.  I ended up helping her move some furniture out of her basement.  Cory and I were setting down an old cupboard when the door fell off and landed on my foot.  That hurt, but I thought nothing of it.  So, I walked around for awhile to "get the pain out."  My friend came over to see if I was ok.  She noticed that my foot was bleeding.  So, I walked home and had Cory take a look at my foot.  By now, I was in tears and in a lot of pain.  After examining my foot, he said I needed stitches and an x-ray!  So, off to the hospital I went with my Mom. 

About an hour and a half later, I was wheeled out of the ER with five stitches and a copy of an x-ray showing a fracture on the tip of my big toe.  What a way to start a weekend! 

1 Year!

That's right!  On October 1, 2011, Tim rang the "end of treatment" bell at Primary's!  Then, we walked out the hospital for our last over-night stay.  Tim even walked out on his own, like he said he would:)  His one year scans and tests are not until early November due to schedule conflicts with all his doctors.
