Prosthesis-Part 2

Wednesday afternoon, Tim and I were back up at Shriner's for a prosthesis fitting. I didn't know quite what to expect, so when Peter said that Tim could try to walk with the prosthesis, I was over-joyed! On to the pictures:)

(We first saw Tim's foot! The piece inside the fake foot is the coolest-very athletic and springy!)

(Tim trying on the upper part of the prosthesis. The fake foot connects to the tip of the black looking crock thing that his rotated foot is in.)

(Figuring out where to place Tim's new foot and how much length to add.)

(Walking! with help from the bars!)

(While Peter and a student made some adjustments to the prosthesis, Tim and I played Wii games. Tim found a rocking cow and perched himself on it!)

(The adjustments worked and Tim was happy with this fitting! Right after this picture, Tim walked with the help of his crutches to another part of the hospital where Tim and I looked at some fabric to put on the prosthesis. We actually found some BYU fabric up there in U of U land!)
This was a huge day! Tim walked after almost 4 months of using crutches and a wheelchair. My heart was so full and still is knowing that Friday, he gets to bring his leg home and really start walking again!
