Farewell to Wheelie!

Thursday afternoon, we said good-bye to Tim's wheelchair! This addition to our family arrived on Mother's Day, the day Tim came home from the hospital after his rotation surgery! For 5 months, Tim's friend took him all over the place. Here's a look back at just some of the things we did:

(Tim pulled up to our table in wheelie to eat. With a huge wrap on his foot, this was the only way for Tim to eat with the family.)

(Wheelie took Tim to BYU to meet with Chad Lewis and Bronco Mendenhall. Tim also went all over the campus getting stares from lots of cute co-eds!)

(In July, we went to Snowbird Resort and wheelie helped Tim get around at 11,000 feet!)

(Wheelie took Tim around Liberty Park to help raise funds for children's cancer research.)

(In August, wheelie was there in Yellowstone so Tim could see the first National Park!)

And let's not forget that wheelie helped Tim with his priesthood responsibilities. Tim passed the sacrament and gathered fast offerings from wheelie. He also attended youth activities in wheelie.

Are we sad that wheelie is no longer with us? NO way! That things was extremely heavy and awkward. But we are grateful that wheelie was with us for 5 months. It was a life-saver in so many ways and kept our family as active as we could be:)
