Death Star
Tim decided to pull out his LEGO "Death Star" and work on it for awhile this morning. He was a little down in the dumps because we got the call this morning that Tim's counts were finally high enough for chemo tomorrow. As he sat there putting pieces together and trying not be upset, I thought how this "Death Star" project is like Tim's life now. I know, a little weird, so here goes. Tim got this massive LEGO for his birthday back in April. Two and half months later, he is still not done. It's a slow work in progress. Some days, Tim works on the project, other days he would rather hang out with friends or play video games. Eventually, he will finish the "Death Star" and the end result will be awesome! Do you see where I am going with this? Since January 14th, Tim's fight against cancer has been a slow work in progress. Some weeks, he is in for chemo, other weeks, he is home being a 12 year boy! This too, will eventually end, and the end result will be that Tim is cancer free and active again. How awesome will that be? And the trick with the "Death Star" and Tim is when both are completed. Both have to kept safe-the "Death Star" from not being destroyed by little hands and what not. Tim from not getting Ewing's again or a secondary cancer. Round 10 watch out-we are coming ready to get in, get the job done, and get home as fast as we can!!

(A work in progress!)
(Someone will have to remind me to get a picture when both projects are completed!)
