Tim's Weekend

We have had a lot of calls about Tim and this past weekend. Tim ended up spending only Friday night at the hospital. He came home Saturday afternoon. At the hospital, Tim was given an antibiotic through his port and that brought his temperature down and kept it down during his stay. He went 24 hours without a fever, so he was discharged around 2pm Saturday afternoon! We are still giving him an antibiotic through his port at home and giving him daily shots to boost his immune system. Monday, blood will be drawn to see what his blood counts are. If they are high enough, he will go back in Tuesday for another round of chemo. If the counts are low, we wait until the counts are high enough to go in. Let's hope the counts are high enough that he can go back in and get some more "poison!"
