I guess I should do a little update since it's been awhile without any news on Tim. He is home now after his 2nd round of chemo. I think I wrote about how we went in on time, but with an ear infections and a cold. Tim decided to stay and start the treatments anyway. He was a beast that Tuesday, just in so much pain from the ear and hating how his throat felt. Wednesday, he slept all day. Getting up long enough to pee and say a couple of words to me. I talked with him, total, about 15 minutes that day. Thursday was a little better. He was still pretty loopy from all the drugs in him. He was awake most of the day either watching tv or playing video games. He didn't eat much though :( Friday was much better. He was up and active when I got to the hospital! He was a little more interactive with me as well. He even helped me eat a bag of popcorn! And Saturday was an okay day. My Mom went up to the hospital that day so that Cory and I could take care of stuff around the house (Cory slept, the twins went to a birthday party, and Mak & I saw the Justin Bieber movie!) Tim was pretty talkative and ate 3 pieces of pizza until the chemo started. Then he threw up and just wanted to sleep:( But once he got some meds in him, he was singing and having a grand time until he just crashed :) And Sunday, he came home around 11.

Some of you may be asking why does Tim have to stay in the hospital 2 days and then 5 days? Ewing's Sarcoma is a very aggressive cancer, so the treatment has to be just as aggressive. When he goes in for 2 days, he receives about 3 different "poisons" one a day. When he goes in for 5 days, he only receives 2 "poison" every day. All these drugs are such that if Tim received everything in one day, well, Tim would be a vegetable right now. So, the drugs are spread out, thus the 2 or 5 days in the hospital. And the stuff he gets on our lovely 5 day stays is more powerful than the 2 day stuff! Hope that all makes sense:) I just have to trust the doctors and the protocol they are using. What other choice do I have?

You know, looking at Tim's pajama pants and other evidence of BYU favoritism it reminds me of something my parents would say to me and my siblings growing up, "You can go to any college you want, but the check's going to BYU." haha All of us wanted to go to BYU anyway, but I always got a laugh out of that.
Keep up the good work Tim!
