13th Anniversary

Today, 13 years ago, Cory and I were sealed in the St. George Temple! What a ride it's been! This past weekend, Cory took me up to Yellowstone National Park for a little get away. We left Friday morning and drove to Jackson, WY, then up through Teton National Park and finally Yellowstone. What an amazing park! We stopped at the"Grand Canyon of Yellowstone" for some dinner and to gaze at the beautiful waterfalls. We slept in the park in the back of our truck! That was an adventure. It was a little cold, but the stars were something else. So many were out. Sometime during the night, we heard some wolves howling. Scary, but in a way, beautiful!

Saturday, Cory surprised me with a "Paddle-n-Saddle" adventure. We did a 2 hour horseback ride through the Montana Mountains just north of Yellowstone Park. We saw a Black Bear cub from a distance! Two hours of riding a horse is long enough for me. Then we floated the Yellowstone River for another 2 hours, going about 8 miles. That was so refreshing. The horse back ride was hot and dirty. On the trip we saw a herd of elk, a fawn, and two bald eagles!

Yesterday, Cory and I went back into Yellowstone and spent about 2 hours at Old Faithful. He was very faithful, shooting up at 7 minutes after 12 just as predicted! We drove home back through the park, through Teton National Park and through Jackson again. It was a long trip, but the scenery was well worth all the time in the truck.
