Mak's Birthday Party!

April is such a busy month for us. Easter, spring yard work, and two birthdays a week apart. Both Tim and Mak were born in April. Today, we had Mak's "family" party. Her birthday is actually tomorrow, but Mondays are crazy at our house, so we had it today. Mak wanted Chicken Alfredo for dinner and brownies for her "cake." It's her birthday, so I deliver! My Mom always let us pick our Birthday dinner and cake, so why not keep the tradition going? Here's the birthday girl with her presents and brownie "cake!"Mak got a DS for Christmas and loves it. She wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up, so maybe this game will inspire her!
Her very first sewing basket! She loves it. She also got scraps of fabric and a pattern to make little coin purses and handbags! Oh boy:)
Yes, a sewing machine! Watch out Project Runway, here comes Makayla Wright! Tonight before bed, we watched part of an instructional DVD and Mak thread her machine, wound the bobbin, and practiced a straight stitch! She did great and was very patient. Tim practiced as well. Hey, there is nothing wrong with a boy who sews!
I can't believe my little girl is turning 9. She's not so little anymore! She has grown into a beautiful young lady. Tomorrow I will post pictures of her through the years. Hopefully:)
