We have walls and a roof!
While Cory and I were away for our anniversary, the garage got some work done on it. The last picture you saw, the addition looked like this.
The siding was ripped off next as was the black paper that you see in this picture.
Then a crew came in, framed it and put up walls, all in one day! This is what Cory and I came home to Sunday night.
Early Monday morning, a crew was back to put the trusses up and put a roof on. The windows and garage door were cut out as well. Slowly, during the week, the shingles have been going on. What do you think? I think it is going to turn out "cute" and give the back of the house some personality!

13th Anniversary
Today, 13 years ago, Cory and I were sealed in the St. George Temple! What a ride it's been! This past weekend, Cory took me up to Yellowstone National Park for a little get away. We left Friday morning and drove to Jackson, WY, then up through Teton National Park and finally Yellowstone. What an amazing park! We stopped at the"Grand Canyon of Yellowstone" for some dinner and to gaze at the beautiful waterfalls. We slept in the park in the back of our truck! That was an adventure. It was a little cold, but the stars were something else. So many were out. Sometime during the night, we heard some wolves howling. Scary, but in a way, beautiful!
Saturday, Cory surprised me with a "Paddle-n-Saddle" adventure. We did a 2 hour horseback ride through the Montana Mountains just north of Yellowstone Park. We saw a Black Bear cub from a distance! Two hours of riding a horse is long enough for me. Then we floated the Yellowstone River for another 2 hours, going about 8 miles. That was so refreshing. The horse back ride was hot and dirty. On the trip we saw a herd of elk, a fawn, and two bald eagles!
Yesterday, Cory and I went back into Yellowstone and spent about 2 hours at Old Faithful. He was very faithful, shooting up at 7 minutes after 12 just as predicted! We drove home back through the park, through Teton National Park and through Jackson again. It was a long trip, but the scenery was well worth all the time in the truck.
Thanks Cory for the wonderful weekend and the past 13 years! I look forward to the next 13 years and more adventures with you. Love you more, babe!!

Garage Update
Tuesday was a huge day for the garage addition. Gary and a small crew came over and finished back filling and cleaned up - big time! Take a look.
Next up is the framing. Gary is hoping to come over this weekend and get that done. It is really getting exciting now. Wednesday, my Mom and I cleaned up the tree we took down and some other things "hanging" out on the side of the house.
Lots of "stuff". We tarped it all and headed for the dump with the twins in tow. If you don't tarp your load, you get charged double. Good thing they don't inspect how the tarp is put on because I would have been charged triple with my tarp job!
The experience at the dump was unforgetable. I won't go into much detail though. You might loose whatever you just ate. I was very happy to get home and take a long shower though!

School is in!
Tim is in 5th grade. He has the same teacher as last year. This is a good thing because Tim was in a 4th/5th grade combined class last year. The teacher knows what Tim is capable of doing, so hopefully Tim won't get too bored.
Mak is in 3rd grade. Her teacher is new to the school. She is young, cute and full of spunk. Mak needs that. She is really excited for this year because in 3rd grade, the kids learn cursive. Mak already knows some, so she is eager to improve and "officially" write in cursive.
We have had a busy summer-it has flown by. I really enjoyed having the kids home! They matured so much and are fun to be around. The house is quiet with them gone, but I am glad for that. Every mom needs some quiet time!

Reno
I said in a previous post that Cory and I were out of town for a couple of days. Here is what happened. My Aunt needed a driving buddy back to Reno, so I went with her. It worked out great because my sister was having her wedding reception the weekend that I would be in Reno. Cory just so happened to be working in Reno that week as well. So, my Mom stayed with the kids, while Cory and I "partied" alone in Reno. We saw a movie, went to the Reno Temple, Cory went motorcycle riding with my brother, we ate out a lot, and we went to the reception. It was beautiful, and my sister is so happy. Jess and Brian were married on June 25th in Maui. I wasn't able to attend the wedding, but I said I would go to the reception. Oh, how I wished I could have gone to Maui, but that is in the past and doesn't do me any good to dwell on it. I tried to download some pictures from the wedding, but I had no luck. Take my word, it was stunning! Here are some pictures from the reception. We had a good time. Cory stole the show on the dance floor. He was doing some dance that Will Smith did on his tv show. It was great! Take a look.
Sunday morning, we attended a sacrament meeting. The neatest family spoke about the 13 Article of Faith. We discovered that one of the daughters will be attended BYU next fall on a basketball scholarship. I couldn't sit still through the rest of the talks. I was so excited to introduce myself and talk about basketball! Now I have a reason to go to an alumni game! The trip was fun, but I really missed the kids and was glad to get home and be a mom. I wouldn't have it any other way!
