Round 12

The end of chemo is finally in sight! Tim came home yesterday afternoon from a 5-day stay at the hospital. He did ok. He threw up a lot, probably just catching up from not throwing up at all during round 11. My theory on it all: during round 11, one of the nastiest drugs was not administered to Tim, thus he did not get sick and throw up. But during round 12, he was hit with drugs for a longer period of time rather than one day, so he got sick and threw up. One day, he threw up 3 times:( His "chuck count" is now in the 40's. The last two days of Tim's stay, one of his friends, Mik, came up to the hospital with me and entertained Tim. One day, they played "HALO" all day! I made them stop for awhile to eat though. The next day, they played "HALO" again, watched cartoons, played games and did a lot of burping. Do you see why the nurses give Tim such a hard time?
So, what's next you ask? Tim is scheduled to go in for a short round of chemo on Sept. 2nd, then his last round should start on Sept. 13 or 16, depending on his counts. We are hoping to go to Shriner's this Friday for another prosthesis fitting. Tim really wants to "walk" out of the hospital after his last round! That just might happen:)
