A sock was put on Tim's foot and Peter, the guy who will be making Tim's prosthetic, used a special pencil to mark Tim's bones on his ankle and foot.
Next, Peter applied a quick drying cast of sorts to Tim's thigh and foot. This will be filled with a plastic liquid that will become a prototype of the prosthetic.
Peter made a few more markings on the cast before he cut it off. These marking are for placement of metal and joints on the actual prosthetic!
With the cast off, Peter measured Tim's right foot so he could order Tim's left foot. Tim thought it was pretty funny that his foot had to be ordered!! And that was it for this visit. We are hoping that Tuesday we can go back to Shriner's for the actual fitting of the prototype!
Also on Friday, Tim started round 12 of chemo!! He was scheduled for Aug. 30th, but since his counts were super high, his doctors admitted him early. Tim wasn't quite prepared to in, but it will be good to get another round in before school starts in a week:)
Can you believe that there are only 2 more rounds left?

I'm so excited for Tim. It must be nice to see the light at the end of the a very long tunnel.
Cool! We have an appointment at Shriners on Tuesday, too. Maybe we'll see you there!
Hooray! I'm glad the end is in sight. Good for Tim!
