Fort Herriman Days' Parade

(Tim making good use of his limb!)

Yesterday was Kelli's "Best Day Ever!" We were in the Fort Herriman Days' Parade to get the word out about Tim's walk on June 25th. It was a long day, but so much fun! We were up early to decorate Cory's truck with yellow and white balloons. Then we went over to the check in area and waited for the parade to start around 9am. We were entry #75, so by the time we started the parade route, it was 9:40 or something like that. We had to wait a long time!! But, it was worth it. We had some neighbor kids help pass out candy, bracelets, stickers and flyers. We even passed out a few "No Fear Here" shirts. Tim took turns sitting on the tailgate and on the front of the truck. He waved his foot at people and threw out candy and otter pops! I was amazing to see all the people out and watch them read the flyers about Tim and the walk, then stand up and clap and scream for Tim. At times, I got very emotional. Good thing I was driving the truck so no one could see me crying :) We finally got home around 11 and cleaned up. Tim chilled for most of the afternoon. His counts are on their way down now :(

(Here we come!)

(Need I say anything?)

Next on Tim's list is a radio interview this Tuesday and getting his cast off Thursday. Dr. J said if the x-rays show that the bones are healing, Tim may not have to have another cast!

Hi Amanda,

my name is Kandice, I got the chance to meet tim today in Wal-mart today. I work there (at the riverton wal-mart), and he looked familiar to me because I follow this blog as well as steven's blog and many other cancer kids blogs. I am so happy to have been able to have met tim today. what a sweet boy you have. I hope everything goes well for you guys tomorrow. P.S. after I got done talking with time and his grandma or maybe aunt that was with him I had the best feeling inside all day, because the conversation I had with them was wonderful. have a wonderful night!

This is great! I can imagine it must have been very emotional seeing such kindness shown to Tim and your family.
