Tim is doing great! Yesterday, he started out in the PICU. I guess Tim spent most of the previous night watching movies. Duh, he only had an 11 hour nap! Actually, he liked the tv that was in the room. Cory's Dad and Mom visited with Tim in the morning. And Tim tried to nap. I got to the hospital in the early afternoon after spending the morning with the girls. The "parent break" group that I meet with received some Build-a-Bears the day Tim was in surgery. Cory and I picked out an Aviator Bear for Tim and he held onto it all day. (See below)

Around 2 in the afternoon, Tim was transferred to the 3rd floor where most kids recover from surgery. We are actually in a room just around the corner from where Tim gets chemo. So it was like going home:) It took us awhile to get Tim settled in and comfortable again. He sure does like pushing the pain medicine button! But, as long as he is comfortable, it does not matter. The rest of the day was spent watching tv while Tim was in and out of sleep. He was a little bummed to leave the PICU because of the tv in that room. Go figure:)

Around 5, the girls, my Mom and my Aunt came to visit. They actually spent more time in the cafeteria than in Tim's room. The girls thought the cafeteria was the coolest place ever:) Before I left around 7:30, Tim got some benadryl to help with the itchiness from the pain medicine. Hopefully, that helped him fall asleep and sleep well!

Are you serious about the cafeteria being "cool"? If so, they need to get out more :)
I love the pics of his foot. I am excited to see the rest. Of course! PICU TV's are great!
Thank you for updating your blog so often. I have been checking in to see how things are going for him. Kenlee has been asking about him often. I am happy to see he is doing so good!
So happy to hear that he's on the 3rd floor - I know that means things are going well. Thanks for the update.
This is my first time seeing your story. My aunt, is Polly, or Kristen's Mom, she was the one that brought in the Build-A-Bears. When I saw your comment on her blog I leaped over her because I wanted to see the special child who received a bear. I was brought to tears by your story and your strength. I cried harder when I realized that the bear he received was the bear I gave my aunt to donate. I'm certainly not writing this for acknowledgement of my donation, I just wanted to thank you for posting pictures. It brings such joy to me to know that a bear can bring so much comfort. I am glad that bear found a place with your son.
