Round 6!

We finally made it! After really low blood counts, a mild-grade fever, blood and platelet transfusions, and just waiting, Tim went in for his last pre-surgery chemo treatment this morning! And it started out good too. The minute I hung up with the hospital this morning confirming a time to check in, I had Tim drink lots of water. In order for chemo to start, "stuff" in his urine has to be a certain level. Today, Tim was at that level after 4 hours of being checked in. In the past, it has taken him 6-8 hours. However, this meant that he threw up while I was still with him :( But then he fell asleep! This round is a 5-dayer. Tim should be back home Friday or Saturday, depending on how well he does with the chemo.

We had a beautiful spring weekend that all of us enjoyed! Saturday was spent working in the yard, pulling weeds, applying fertilizer and getting rocks out of the garden. The kids built this fort in the backyard with an old tarp and some bungy cords. Then they sat in it for the longest time and got along so nicely! Just what we all needed before a week long hospital visit.

Glad he was able to get in and hopefully won't have to be there over the weekend. And that fort is quite the contraption! Fun!

That is so cute- love those family moments, especially the ones that the children themselves create. :)
