Easter

Easter Sunday has come and gone with the rain we had yesterday! All of us attended church and Tim was sustained to receive the priesthood when he turns 12 later this week! So much is happening so fast :) Last night as I reflected on the busy day filled with sugar filled kids and an Easter dinner with family, I thought about our Savior. His atonement is so real and means so much more to me. Because of it, Tim will be "whole" again. A scripture in the Book of Mormon says this about being resurrected:

"The spirit and the body shall be reunited again in its perfect form; both limb and joint shall be restored to its proper frame, even as we now are at this time. . .Now this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but every thing shall be restored to its perfect frame. . . and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God, to be judged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil." (Alma 11:43-44)

Some words that stick out to me are limb, joint, hair! Tim will be whole again!! Such a huge comfort as his surgery gets closer and we tackle another step in this process.

I can imagine the comfort that this scripture brings to you. What a wonderful feeling it is to have this knowledge. I am sure it takes on a whole new meaning for you....especially after all your family is going through!
Give Tim a hug for us.

Amanda.... my mom wanted me to tell you, that if Tim wanted to talk to her before or after the surgery she would love to.... she said they explain in detail how everything will work, the procedure etc but not at all how you will feel... she has a few people she talks with that are also amputees and they all felt this way. Or even if you wanted to talk to her. I'm glad your finding comfort in the scriptures in such a painful time for your family. We love you guys and will pray and fast for you and for Tim..... on a slightly lighter note.... did you know if you are an amputee you can get a free pass to all the Utah state parks... Utah Lake for boating etc

Such a wonderful promise! This is why having a knowledge of the gospel is so important during this earth life. I don't know how people endure trials without it. You are a great example.
