Tim's Heart

Tim came home yesterday from his 5 day stay at PCMC. He had a pretty rough go of it this time around. I guess that is a good sign because they say the worse the child is means that the chemo is doing it's job! We have 2 more rounds of chemo before his surgery to remove the cancer from his leg. The surgery should be sometime in May. Most likely in June, chemo treatments will start up again. He will have another 8 chemo treatments lasting about 4-5 months. What's nice is that the treatments will be the same as he has now!
Check Tim out sleeping at the hospital. He got his best sleep in the morning:)We experienced a little bit of miracle during this hospital visit. While we were there, Tim had another "echo" of his heart. One of the drugs that he gets can cause damage to his heart in the long run. His last "echo" was before any chemo was started, so it was time to see how things were going. The next day, I asked the doctors what the results of the "echo" were. They pulled up the notes and said that "it was as if his heart has not seen any chemo at all." Both of the doctors there were quite surprised and excited about that! I was so grateful and thought about all the prayers that are being said in behalf of Tim:) I know prayers are heard and answered and that fasting does work. Thank you so much to those who continue to pray and fast for our Tim. The Lord has blessed him and continues to bless him in so many ways!

Oh Amanda, that is great news. And he looks so peaceful sleeping in that picture. I'm so sorry he had such a rough time. I can only imagine how painful that was for you and Cory to watch. Give him our love, and know you are all in our prayers, always.
