Let me start with a little background: last October, we had the awesome opportunity to stay at a condo in Park City. (click here) While on a walk one evening, we stumbled into a fire station and met Captain Shawn Winder, Sheriff Winder's wife. She took a liking to Tim, his leg and his experience! She gave Cory her card and told him to call her to come check out some new equipment the fire station would be getting. Life got busy, and the call was never made. Fast forward to April of this year and the Make-A-Wish Gala we were apart of. (click here) Sheriff Winder was the emcee for the event and his wife was there with him. Captain Winder told her husband about Tim and how she had met us before. Again, Captain Winder told Cory to call her. This time he did and a day long event was planned not only for Tim, but for other Make-A-Wish kids. Here is what took place!
We had a great day and thrilled that Eric, Echo, Matthew and their families could join us. We missed the other kids and their families that couldn't make it. Thanks to Sheriff and Captain Winder and all their staff for an one of kind experience!
