WOW!

A couple of weeks ago, I received a box from the BYU Women's Basketball Program. I was thinking, "Boy, they sure are going big for alumni stuff!" But then I thought, "Wait a minute. Basketball is over and the alumni game is next winter. What is this?" When I opened the box, I found this smaller box inside.
I was a "Curious George" and opened it up right away! This is what I found inside along with a letter of explanation.The floor of the Marriott Center is being re-done, so they sent every player, male and female, who has ever played on the old floor, a piece of it! I need to tell you that I was never contacted and asked if I wanted a piece of the floor or how much I wanted to donate to receive this piece of my personal history.
For those of you that don't know about my experience at BYU, it wasn't like I thought it was going to be. I ate, slept, dreamed and did many other things thinking about basketball. I had to schedule classes around weight lifting in the early mornings and practice in the afternoons. I had to keep a certain GPA or I was stuck in study hall with the football players:) And then, I was part of the "guest" team that our starting team beat up just before games. I saw a lot of the end of the bench too! However, I GOT TO GO TO BYU! I met some amazing people that I will never forget. I met and married my husband will attending BYU! I graduated not only with a degree in Recreation Management, but received a minor in Business as well! Plus, I got to travel to some interesting places in our country. So, I was shocked, honored and blown away to be remembered! All I can say is WOW!
