Let me start by saying that I was very impressed with Disney World. The streets are so clean and things are really easy to find. This is what welcomed us as soon as we got off the interstate! I was so excited. I love Disney and always get goose bumps whenever I go. Even now as an adult! I am still a kid at heart:)

As soon as you get through security and the ticket booths, you are in a huge zoo, Disney style! As most of you know, Disney never does anything half way. And it goes for the Animal Kingdom! One of the first "take your breath away sites" you see is the Tree of Life, like the one in "The Lion King." It is huge! Looking close at the tree, you see all types of animals carved into the trunk! Amazing! Like how flat my hair is already? My hair and the humidity don't go well together at all! Click on the picture and try to spot some animals!
Next, we moved onto an African village and went on a safari! Fun! We saw hippos, elephants, lions, giraffes, and lots of other animals that I am too lazy to look up how to spell:)
After Africa, we made our way into Asia where we saw tigers and huge gorillas. I was really excited to go on the Mt. Everest experience. I saw a show on Discovery about the park's newest attraction and have been looking forward to riding the roller coaster ever since. At one point in the ride, the cars are going backwards. They go quite fast and you get whipped around. It was awesome! I could have gone on it again, but the lines were long and it was getting late. Plus, there was still so much to see and do. This is Mt. Everest:)

As the day went on, we rode a Dinosaur ride very similar to the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland. Very cool! At one point, you are face to face with a huge dinosaur that roars and makes your body shake! I am so glad that I don't live with the dinosaurs:) The parade we saw had some amazing animal costumes. Disney goes big with everything! Cory and I were able to see and do just about everything in the park. Of course, there was things for kids to do, but ours were in Utah with Grandma. I am sure if we ever took the kids to Disney World, we would need a couple of more hours in the park just for them!
The park closed at 6, which we were ready for. We headed for our room for the night, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando!
This is our room. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. It was so soft and fluffy! Once you were in, there was no getting out without some help!
And this is the beautiful view from our room. In the background is Disney World. Some of the landmarks are too hard to see, but take my word for it, that is the park in the background. Cory and I actually went swimming after a full day in the park. The weather was so nice. A little cloudy in the morning, but by the afternoon, the clouds were gone and the sun was out. It was right around 80 degrees. Both Cory and I got some sun! The pool was relaxing and very refreshing!
For dinner, we went to Downtown Disney and ate at an Irish Pub! We sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait for a table. We were so hungry. The bar tender was super nice and recommended some great dishes! After stuffing ourselves, we walked around for awhile taking in all the sites. Boy were there some sites to see! I enjoy watching people! Then it was back to our room and to bed. HEAVEN!
