100 and 35!

This is my 100th post! We've all seen that with tv sitcoms and whatnot, people make a BIG deal about the 100th something or other. Just the other day, K&K had their 100 day celebration at school. So, this is my 100th post, and it's a good one, because it happens to be about my 35th birthday! Lucky me!!

Sunday, my Mom and grandmother came over for dinner and cake. I wasn't feeling too well, in fact, Mak and I stayed home from church that morning. Notice how lovely she and I look in the picture.
I had my first "Nothing Bundt Cake" cake! It was so good:) White chocolate raspberry with cream cheese frosting. Oh boy!! It was a quiet party, but so nice.

Monday night, after my last volleyball games for the winter season (see how we did to the right-not so good) Cory gave me his birthday present. Airline tickets to Las Vegas on my birthday! I have to admit, I was a little down that he was going to be out of town on my birthday, but when he handed me my boarding pass and I realized it was for me, not him, I was excited!! Once in Vegas, Cory surprised me with tickets to see the musical, "The Lion King." This is me standing in front of the theatre inside Mandalay Bay!
I know, not the best picture, but I have the ticket stubs to prove I was really there. What an amazing show!! The costumes are out of this world. And the performers were great. There were some songs that weren't in the animated movie that I didn't care for, but the dancing and stage effects were something else. I highly recommend it. And kids can see it too, rare for a Vegas show:) Cory and I stayed overnight and flew home this afternoon. It was a great birthday and a pretty good 100th post! Don't ya think?
