Mother's Intuition!

The other night, Cory was at a meeting and met a doctor who was at the InstaCare on January 11, 2011.  That was the day I took Tim in for a x-ray thinking he had a stress fracture in his left leg.  This doctor informed Cory that he remembered that day and the doctor that actually looked at Tim saying that he was not going to do an x-ray.  Here is where I am so grateful for a "mother's intuition" that told me something was not right with my son and that a visit to Tim's pediatrician was not going to be enough.  So, I insisted that an x-ray be taken, and, well you know what happened from there.  This doctor also told Cory that the InstaCare did a lot of x-rays after hearing about Tim's cancer:)

Tim-January 2011

Tim-February 2012
The other night at dinner, I sat at the table listening and watching the kids as they finished up their dinner.  They are all growing up so fast and for the first time I realized that Tim has matured so much in the past few months.  Not just emotionally, but physically as well.  I was numb with the thought that soon I will have a teenager in the house, and a handsome one too!  Tim has been blessed in so many ways and I am so grateful to be apart of Tim's life!

KSL-again!

Tim is in the news again!  Because the head media person at the Jordan School District has connections with the local media, we have been bombarded with phone calls and visits from tv and newspapers.  Here is the clip that aired on KSL!  Click here to link over!  And here is the story in the Deseret News!  Click here.

Recent Happenings!

Life is slowly getting back to normal for the Wrights.  The girls were off track for most of January, thus crafts, ski camp for Mak, swimming at the rec center and hanging out!  Tim started the process for a new leg in January.  He went back in February for a fitting and we had to start all over because the piece that goes over Tim's rotation did not fit-too small.  Hopefully by the end of the month he should have a new leg though :)  Here are some random pictures of what we have been doing!  Enjoy :)

Mak put every bow, clip and head band we owe in her hair one day!
Kelli going off the high dive.  My kids are little fish!
Katie jumping off the high dive!
Mak painting a bird house
Katie and Kelli painting
Sleep-overs at Baci's.

Tim ready to go to the Scout Klondike Derby.  His toes froze sleeping in a tent in February :(
Finally, Tim got his SBO sweater.  What a handsome young man!
Cory sleeping on the couch.  He and I went to see Lady Antebellum for Valentine's Day.  This is what happens when we stay out too late.  I fell asleep on the couch a little later while watching a nature show with the girls!

Flight Clips!

Here are a couple of videos from California of Tim's flight.  The first one is of Tim taking off.  You don't see the jet until it clears the mountains in the background.  Then the pilot "winks" at us on the ground by dipping his wings.  It's quick, so don't blink!  The second is of the jet taxing in.  Just the coolest thing ever!  I was going to post a third one of Tim getting out of the jet and telling us about the flight.  But the wind was blowing so hard that day that you can barely hear a thing :(  Enjoy!!
