Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of you out there! I hope you all had a wonderful day. Ours was pretty quite. Cory was up early to make waffles from scratch. Yummy, they are the best! I actually had time while getting ready for church to sit down and eat breakfast with the family. Usually, we eat when we can on Sundays. Then it was off to church. Since I'm in the Primary Presidency, I've known for about 3 weeks what the kids would be doing for their moms. These lovely paper heart flowers! They turned out really cute, and it was fun to see what the kids wrote on them and how they colored them. These are my flowers from T, M, K&K. These flowers will never die, but the center might get eaten:)
After church, all of us chilled out. I wasn't feeling too well, so to just relax and not worry about anything was great. Plus, I needed the extra rest with T&M going back to school and the huge project list I have! My Mom and Grandma came over for dinner. We BBQ-ed steak! It was so good. And for dessert, cheesecake-one of my favorites. This is my Mom, grandma and me.
All in all, it was a great day! I am so blessed to be a Mom to be able to stay home with my children. There is no place I would rather be! I have so many wonderful examples of "Mothers" to look up to and I thank them for the lives they live! Happy Mother's Day!
