Fourth of July

Our 4th of July started like any other Saturday in the summer. Cory was up early to go riding at Five Mile, and I was home with the kids cleaning up from the week and doing laundry. Cory had a great ride! He spent Friday night putting the bike back together again! This time though, he put it back "correctly" and now his bike is "awesome!" Cory was home by 11, so we quickly ate lunch, loaded some things up and headed for Deer Creek Reservoir. We spent the rest of the day playing in this:

That's right, a BOAT! However, it is not ours, just half of it is. We invested in it with Cory's brother to use at the family getaway in Montana. We just happen to be the lucky ones that get to store it and play in it every now and then! The boat came with some water skies and a tube. We tried them all out! The kids really liked to jump off the boat and swim around. So, we found a wakeless area, anchored the boat and let the kids play! It was a great way to spend the fourth! Here we are eating dinner on the boat! Last night after we got home and cleaned up, we set off fireworks with some neighbors. After the kids went through a box of fireworks from Costco, we headed over to another neighbor's house. This neighbor had some illegal fireworks from Wyoming, so we watched the show for awhile before calling it a night. It's a good thing he is a retired fireman and knows the ins and outs of fire safety! Hope you all had a fun and save 4th of July!!
Friday night, we saw the newest "Ice Age" movie. Very cute! It's a must see for the summer.

Just the other day I was wondering why you don't have a boat since you have every other "toy". Looks like lots of fun!
